Tried to "let my winners run" with my TSLA put butterfly, and of course the stock reversed. Classic. Had multiple chances to flip it for better than +50% but pressed for more and never got it.

I wasn't planning on trading yesterday; however, I couldn't help myself and bought the TSLA 160-150-141 put butterfly for $1.60. I thought the gap-up was overdone and was looking for a fade throughout the day, which kind of happened. However, I pressed for more which didn't pan out, but I haven't lost the faith.

The kids are on school break this week so I haven't bothered trying to trade, been mostly hanging with the kids.. can never get that time back! I did load up a bunch of DJT June 30-20-7.5 put butterflys for around $2.00 last week when the stock surged on a report of management going after "naked short sellers". Quite possibly the dumbest thing I have seen in years.
Last week, I also closed out several of the short puts I had on PRI following the Bear Cave short report which sent IV soaring to around 400% in the April opex puts. I also added a 200/210 1x2 call ratio should stock reverse. I ended up flipping that position for +240%. Hat tip to the Bear Cave for the vol setup on that one. The options were pretty illiquid, which made exiting the call ratio a bit tricky. I had to buy to close the short calls, then I left a long 200/210 call spread on for both legs to get exercised over the weekend for max profit on the spread.
